How can I apply for a job at de Bijenkorf?

Yes, it is possible to apply to multiple jobs at the same time.
How does the job alert work?
If you cannot find a suitable vacancy, you can sign up for the job alert. You then fill in your (basic) data and preferences so that we can send you a message immediately if we have a suitable vacancy for you.
Can I send an open application?
No, open applications are not possible at de Bijenkorf. All interesting vacancies are posted on our careers site. We recommend that you set up a job alert so that you are informed when a suitable vacancy becomes available.
I don't speak fluent Dutch. Can I apply for a job at de Bijenkorf?
In principle, the working language within Bijenkorf is Dutch and for many positions it is necessary to have a good command of the Dutch language, both verbally and in writing. In our e-commerce department, we do have positions where Dutch is not always required given the international nature of the department.
From what age are you allowed to work at de Bijenkorf?
From the age of 15 you may work at de Bijenkorf. You may perform light work independently during the day, outside school hours and during vacations. If you are 16 or older, you may perform heavier work and work more hours, including evenings.

I want to reschedule or cancel my job interview. What is the best way to do this?
If you cannot make it on the appointed date or still waive the interview, you can contact the person with whom you scheduled the interview directly.
I'm looking for an internship. When is the best time to apply?
By February and September of each year, we offer internships to various departments. Internship vacancies are posted online around the end of May and the end of October. Don't want to miss a vacancy? Then set up a job alert.

How nice that you have applied for a job with us. If you applied via our website and received a confirmation email from us, we aim to send you a response within 10 working days. I don't have confirmation of my application. What now?

Yes, you can. The employment contract will state that you are following a Vocational Guided Learning program.
