Amsterdam's Bijenkorf is one of the oldest, and perhaps most famous, stores in the Netherlands. The doors of the current building on Dam Square (now a national monument) first opened in 1915. The Amsterdam Bijenkorf is the largest, and according to many the most beautiful, of our seven stores in the Netherlands. Hence, the year-round department store also attracts many epicureans from outside the Netherlands.
