Job application form
If you apply for a job via the website, we ask you - depending on the job in question - to provide various information that will be used to process your application, such as:
Name, address and residence;

Availability;
We also process the data you provide to us by including it in your CV or in your motivation letter. These data are used to assess your suitability for the vacancy in question and to contact you about the progress of your application procedure. In case Bijenkorf offers you a job, your data will also be used to prepare the offer. If the offer is accepted, your data will be used to prepare the employment contract. The legal basis for processing these data is the performance of the contract.
Integrity Check
De Bijenkorf is affiliated with the Stichting Fraude Aanpak Detailhandel ("FAD"). This foundation is the independent supervisor and administrator of the Alert Register. Using the Alert Register, employers can check the integrity of job applicants and prevent damage being caused (again) through fraud.
When you apply for a job with us, we automatically check whether your details appear in the Warning Register. If an employee of one of the affiliated retail organizations is dismissed for fraud, this will be reported to the police. The employee will also be included in the Warning Register for four years. If the employee applies for a job with another affiliated retail organization, his/her details will be tested to see whether they are included in the Alerting Register. The employee can object to the decision if he/she is included in the Alerting Register.
As part of the integrity check mentioned above, we process the following data:

Assessments
Depending on the job level, an assessment may be part of the application process. The assessment consists of an ability test (Pi-Company Connector Ability) and a personality questionnaire (Pi-Company Reflector Big Five). The results are processed to assess whether you meet the job requirements. The legal basis for this is a legitimate interest of the Beehive.
Through the Website you can create a job alert to quickly find suitable vacancies. In that case, we store your e-mail address, first name and your search criteria and use these to e-mail you relevant vacancies. The legal basis for this is your consent. You can unsubscribe from this job service at any time using the link at the bottom of each message received.
The Website allows you to share job postings by e-mail. When you do so, we process your name and e-mail address and the name and e-mail address of the recipient. We use this data to inform the recipient of the vacancy shared. The legal basis for processing this data is performance of the contract.
In order for the Website to work, we require certain information. This information consists of your IP address (the number -minus the last 3 digits- of your computer that allows us to recognize your computer), the type of browser (the computer program used to view Internet pages), the operating system you use and the pages you visit on our Website. We will retain information provided by you as part of the application process for four weeks after the vacancy closes. If you have given permission for us to retain your data so that we can inform you of future vacancies, we will retain your data for up to one year after registration. Job service
If you have subscribed to the job service, your data will be kept for a maximum of twelve months in order to be able to send you job alerts, unless you previously indicate that you no longer wish to receive them. In doing so, these third parties act as processors for De Bijenkorf and De Bijenkorf ensures that these parties provide sufficient guarantees with regard to the technical and organizational security measures.
