De Bijenkorf sells thousands of items daily in one of the seven stores or on de Bijenkorf webshop. The replenishment of the stores and delivery to online customers is a complex logistical challenge, as each item must be delivered in a customer-friendly, cost-efficient and sustainable manner. We have outsourced the operation to a logistics partner (Ceva) and together we work on improvements and innovations, whole coordinating and monitoring the logistics processes in-house.

What will you do?

Since 2019, De Bijenkorf had had a new omnichannel distribution center in Tilburg. The distribution center (over 82,000 square meters) had a BREEAM 5-star certificate, the highest possible in sustainability and is equipped with automated solutions for transporting, sorting and packaging items. Form this distribution center, the stores are supplied and online packages are sent to customers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
