Department Manager Sales

About the role

As Department Manager Sales, you are (jointly) responsible for achieving service and sales targets within your department. You actively monitor results and create an inspiring work environment where both customers and employees feel valued.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing sales figures (revenue, conversion, NPS) and translating them into concrete action points.
  • Coaching and motivating the team to enhance performance and development.
  • Ensuring an inspiring and well-maintained store environment.
  • Planning and coordinating staff scheduling.
  • Initiating and overseeing projects such as renovations and promotional activities.

A Typical Workday

  • Start of the day: You discuss priorities and goals with your team leaders.
  • Morning: You hold coaching sessions to support team members in their development.
  • Afternoon: You meet with the Buying department to discuss stock levels and new product launches. Afterward, you walk through the store to identify areas for improvement.
  • Late afternoon: You work on planning an upcoming renovation and coordinate with the Facilities department.
  • End of the day: You conclude with a follow-up meeting to review ongoing projects and address any challenges.

You have excellent proficiency in both Dutch and English. Additionally, you are flexible and willing to take on Duty shifts when necessary to ensure the store's continuity.
