At de Bijenkorf Ecommerce department we strive to translate this magical and special experience to our customers online. Will you join our Product Design team to help achieve this vision?
You will join a multidisciplinary squad called Omnichannel, responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of our services between our flagship stores and our digital e-commerce platform. To achieve the vision of offering a seamless omnichannel shopping experience, the Omnichannel squad is also responsible for internal tools that enable our employees and brand partners to provide relevant services without frictions our customers. As a Product designer on this squad, you will have the opportunity to closely work with not only the digital development team, but also the store employees in uncovering business opportunities. This means that you will be creating designs for both B2C where end-users are our customers and B2B products, where end-users are our store employees or brand partners.
Until now, the focus of this squad has been mainly on using technologies to assist services between stores and online, such as ordering items online and picking them up at stores, or using apps in the store to check for stock or other product properties, and so on. In the future, the squad wants to further explore solutions to provide truly omnichannel experience to our customers.
In this role, you will need to use both your analytical and creative sides to synthesise the various processes happening in different departments of the organisation and create a consistent experience for our customer. This role requires multi-disciplinary design skills: apart from traditional UI/UX skills, it is beneficial if the candidate also has experience in the Service Design domain, having facilitated workshops or design sprints or crafted service blueprints. In addition, experience with optimizing workflows would be a great bonus. You will lead the end-to-end design process, i.e. empathising, defining, ideation, prototyping, and testing design solutions. You will work closely with the development team in an agile setup to deliver and iterate fast.
